Server Specs

Every aspect of our hosting environment is designed around performance and reliability. We run a large cloud environment using energy efficient blade center style rack mounted chassis servers. All of our storage is handled by external RAID enclosures. We use RAID 10 for reliable, high performance storage. We never use slow RAID 5 storage.

We use a Telco-grade data center with 10Gbit of blended premium bandwidth. The data center uses quad layer key card access points to physically secure access to the server racks. The servers are protected by a FM-200 waterless fire suppression system. There is 24/7 NOC constantly monitoring the flow of network traffic.

We have multiple rack mounted blade centers. Each blade center has quad redundant power supplies connected to redundant battery backup systems on separate circuits backed by redundant generators. Here is a picture of some of our equipment.

Some of our servers

Our older blade server modules within our blade centers have the following specs:

  • Dual Xeon e5520 CPUs (Dual Quad Core Intel Nehalem)
  • 48GB registered ECC RAM (expandable to 192GB)
  • Dual Gigabit Network Connections

Our newest blade server modules within our blade centers have the following specs:

  • Dual Xeon e5645 CPUs (Dual Six Core Intel Nehalem)
  • 96GB registered ECC RAM (expandable to 192GB)
  • Dual Gigabit Network Connections

All of our cPanel web servers are virtualized within the blade modules in our blade center using Xen Cloud Platform. Each virtualized cPanel powered Linux server running within the computing cloud at No Support Linux Hosting has the following specs:

  • 8 CPU Cores
  • 16GB RAM
  • RAID 10 Storage (20 drives + multiple SSD drives for block level caching)
  • CloudLinux 6.9 Linux (64 bit)
  • cPanel 66
  • Apache 2.2.32
  • MySQL 5.5.35
  • PHP 5.6 (default version; other versions also available through PHP Version Selector including PHP 7.1)
  • popular PHP modules including PDO (SQLite & MySQL submodules), GD, cURL, OpenSSL
  • ImageMagick
  • Perl 5.8.8
  • jailed SSH
